Sailing a clipper or Dutch barge.

About 500 traditional sailers that used to be freighters, nowadays have been refurbished to accommodate guests
in their former holds.
They take them across Holland's inland water ways on day trips and sailing holidays.
Nearly 50 of these sailers have joined Zeilklippers.nl, that offers a large variety of sailing trips.
Every traditional sailer has a story that shows a remarkable resemblance to an other ship's genesis.
The story usually starts with an idealized image, or a boys dream.
This dream happens upon the hull of an
unprofitable freighter, that was built a hundred years ago as a sailing cargo ship; a clipper or a Dutch barge.
After many long years of toil, welding, carpentry, painting and rigging, a wreck has become a fine traditional sailer.
Ready to warmly welcome families, schoolclasses, groups of employees on a day trip or regatta sailers.
The ships of Zeilklippers.nl are ready to take you on an unforgettable day trip or sailing holiday.
